Making trance with 2 notes well kind of
Like most producers there will come a time when you have writers block. It happens to all of us the best of us and even myself. It will happen to you too one day. There are ways to avoid it though.One of those ways is using the 2 note trick.
The 2 note trick revealed
Most producers know about the 2 note trick so it is not really a trick or a surprise. As this blog is really just for newbies. The point is they do not know about it. So what is it?
The lesson
In todays lesson i show you how to make a trance riff or melody or main chorus with only using the 2 note trick. A lot of people do not know about this but it is very simple. Before you write your melody and your chord progression. Instead, base your chord progression you normally would but just use two notes in that triad. The results are amazing because by stripping out the third or the fifth note. You have created tension.
So take c e g for example for bars 1 to 2 use c and g , for bars 2 to 3 use c and e or c and a etc
